Our Why

As you know, when we have MAJOR motivating factors, we more inclined to do a thing with ease, joy and consistency. Our why is simple: literacy is liberation. At the heart of everything we do lies a passionate commitment to the transformative power of literacy. A key that unlocks countless doors to knowledge, understanding, and opportunity. It forms the bedrock upon which critical thinking, expression, and lifelong learning thrive.

Why do we emphasize literacy so fervently?

We've witnessed its unparalleled ability to uplift children, adults and communities. From fostering empathy and cultural understanding to enabling professional success and personal growth, literacy is a catalyst for positive change on multiple fronts. It provides access to essential information inherent in our daily environment.

teach our child why

When we begin literacy sessions with children, we talk about why we're learning to read and it's NOT to prepare for school. We are preparing for life. Children learn that reading is like having a secret code to understand everything around. They can begin to read whatever they want; food labels, Roblox instructions, signs on the road or books in the library.
